I've finally got a raised bed garden and I'm hoping that I'll have some home-grown beets to experiment with this summer. I think I have the opposite gardening problem - Everything here grows too much - especially the blackberry cane and bindweed. I'm sorry your family didn't enjoy this recipe, but it sounds like you had a fabulous spread to compensate.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1502631322081207964.post-32812083065009960562011-07-01T22:27:47.914-07:002011-07-01T22:27:47.914-07:00Kris, you're so funny! I truly think the ones from Trader Joe's are just as good and they're ready to use. Anyway, we loved the salad & the dressing was a perfect complement to the beets.

Have a fabulous 4th of July!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03013133019797358257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1502631322081207964.post-4938831059572237212011-07-01T20:29:04.658-07:002011-07-01T20:29:04.658-07:00Sorry to hear that you can't get fresh beets i...Sorry to hear that you can't get fresh beets in Arizona, but I guess each region has its pluses and minuses. I recall enviously reading your previous posts about picking fresh oranges from your backyard for a recipe, that must be a real treat! Though I am one of those who gets cranky when the thermometer goes over 90, so I would definitely not fare well in your climate.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1502631322081207964.post-54408568327827685912011-07-01T15:45:17.250-07:002011-07-01T15:45:17.250-07:00Aw!
